Pellet Operator 1 - Dawson, GA
We are seeking a career minded candidate for a Pellet Operator position at our Dawson Georgia Golden Peanut location. Candidates will need to have open availability as the position will rotate days and nights and include overtime -12 hour shifts. (4 on 2 off). The position is $14.50 an hour with $1.50 more an hour when on nights.
Job Summary Under limited supervision, operate pellet mill , maintain proper bins levels, production rates, quality standards, and maintain sanitation in the department. The pellet mill operator must have additional knowledge of the plant flows for production, waste, and hull/fiber department.
Essential Job Functions- Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
- Maintains a good attendance record
- Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays
- Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)
- Maintain cleaning equipment to ensure quality acceptable quality performance
- Understand the principals of equipment in the department including: Destoners, Sizing Separators, Cleaners, Baghouses, Elevators, Conveyors
- Maintain production rates
- Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.
- Maintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.
- Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.
- Continuously monitors and cleans equipment for optimal performance and quality
- Review production records and labeling for accuracy
- Perform quality checks as required
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Training- All required ADM safety, food safety, quality and environmental training
- Participate in company planned operations training
- Skid steer training required
- Forklift training required

- Protective clothing required: Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performed

- Work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements- Occasionally move objects that weigh up to 55 LBS
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolong periods of time
